Christmas and the rest of December
Merry Chritmas!!!
We have had such a fun and blessed December. We went and saw a living nativity for the first time and we really enjoyed that. Jacinda liked seeing baby Jesus and the animals. The rest of the month sure seemed to fly by, I can't believe the end of the year is next week. Before we know it, we'll be a family of 4! I can't believe that I am already almost in my third trimester, where did the time go? Here is a slideshow of our December. Some of you may enjoy the bazillion pictures more than others, but more pictures of Jacinda were requested...
In this video, Jacinda was reciting "Star Light, Star Bright" though apparently doesn't remember the rest of the words. She grabbed her stool from the bathroom to look at ornaments on the tree (I thought at some point I would have to rescue her from inside the tree, but alas, she has yet to fall) and then saw the angel and said "Star yight, star yight." Yet another thing she has learned from our good friend, Dora the Explorer.
More "Star Light" but this time she wanted to have the camera and take pictures herself.

Latest Mason News
Jacinda ended up with a stomach bug about two weeks ago, so was home a couple days with her. Then Saturday, on Halloween I came down with it. I was so sad because I had helped plan our Weaver family costume party and then had to miss it. It did take me about three times of losing my breakfast before I realized I really was sick and it didn't have anything to do with being pregnant because I felt great otherwise. So, spent the day trying to keep water down and sucking on ice to make sure I didn't get dehydrated. Sunday was a pretty lazy day for us as I desperately tried to eat food and make up all my water loss from Saturday. Then Sunday afternoon Jacinda felt hot and ended up with a 101.2 degree fever. At bath time she started saying "owie, owie" so I began to fear she had the flu. In the morning she woke up screaming "owie" so we knew something was wrong. She ended up having double ear infections, poor girl! But, wow, was I relieved that it was not the flu! So, we stayed home Monday and Tuesday while the anti-biotics and homeopathic ear drops kicked in and while I still recovered from the stomach bug. I had the hardest time recovering. Tuesday Jeff came home early from work with chills and aches... oh NOOO!!! Well, turns out after a good nap and some chicken soup he was fine, Praise GOD!
We do have very exciting news along the Mason Family Tree line. So, long story short, Jeff never met his dad as his parents were divorced when he was one and never kept in contact with him or anyone from that side of the family. A couple months ago one of his aunts found him on facebook and now this week he has been connecting with more and more family. We are hearing all about his family and how they have all been thinking and talking about Jeff for years, even his dad and his grandpa. He has gotten to see pictures of his dad, grandpa and many others and it is just so exciting! We are praying hard we can get the funds together to be able to go out for a visit sometime next year. We have found even though we have been going through tough financial times, family and close friends really is all we have in this life and this has given us joy and hope again. We now have something greater to look forward to and it is refreshing! We have yet to tell Jeff's mom about this, so pray that it will be well accepted and she will have some positive things to say. We are so grateful for this technology age and that Judy stepped out and sent out messages to all the Jeff Masons! :)

I niyme a tee!

Jacinda's most current favorite book is Dr. Seuss' 'Go Dog, Go!' We had only been reading this book for a little less than one week and we had to take a video because we love how she says, "I do not." Also with the cold weather coming we got out her winter hat and she calls it her "party hat" that must look very similar to the tops of some of the dogs' party hats in the book. We'll get a picture or video of her soon. Too funny.Monday, September 21, 2009
Mason Baby #2
Happily playing with the 11 week old plastic baby.
Listening to Jacinda's heart on the doppler after we listened to the baby. We were very surprised we were able to hear the baby's hearbeat this early, but it was strong and very healthy.
For some reason I can't load the copy of the ultrasound picture, so here is some video we took of the ultrasound. The baby was very active and she said it looks more like an 11 week baby than a 10 week, so due date could be more like April 5, than 12. And since Jacinda was a week early, we may just have a March baby afterall.
What a Silly Girl!
Trying to share the walker with her baby doll as you can tell since that was as far as she could get in and she was stuck.
On Labor Day we went to Christian's 4th Birthday party.

Deciding if she wanted to touch it or not.
The news interviewed a man who makes his weather predictions based on nature and he said that the longer the furry caterpillars fur, the colder and wetter the winter will be. This one had some pretty long fur! AND, as it turns out it is snowing today in Monument and higher elevations. I heard there were snowflakes in the air at church, but so far just rain at our house. Today is the last day of summer!! Guess we won't have fall this year.

My 21 month old baby girl!
Jacinda is 21 months old today! I can't believe it! In just three short months she'll be two! She's been learning new vocabulary every day and seems to talk in short sentences all the time now. We're not sure how much other people can understand her, but she's saying something all the time.
She said the sweetest thing the other day. We were eating dinner and after a few bites she said, "Yummy, mommy." My heart melted! I can't believe she is starting to think things like this on her own already, amazing! She really is a funny girl and quite humorous. I love that! She is always making us smile... ok, most of the time!
Here's a story to make her Great-Uncle Jerry proud: The other night at dinner we were having brats and so we had a container of raw onion slices out and she went to grab one, so Jeff started to stop her but I said to let her try it. She then proceeded to ask for about 3-4 slices more of raw onion only wincing at the very first bite.
She can now count to 10, she knows most her colors and shapes, my favorite is "nymon" (diamond) and runner up... "dah-dee dough" (triangle). We are at 'F' in the alphabet and only have one month to work on it so she can match Uncle William being able to say it the whole way through at 22 months. But, no rush, she still has 3 more years until school. :)
She now really enjoys dancing and singing along to Dora and Sesame Street. My absolute favorite is the Baby Crab Dora episode where they dance like crabs. They snap their hands like crabs and sing, "Move your body, (something in Spanish), move your body just like a crab." So out of the blue she'll hold her hands up and sing, "Body, body." So CUTE!
Not so great milestone is she has also starting to stall. At bedtime she'll ask for countless more hugs and kisses so we don't leave her. Or will ask for water or juice or just start being super cute so we won't put her to bed yet.
I will upload recent pictures very soon!

4th of July Weekend
Us in St. Elmo at the Chipmunk Crossing. Jacinda did not like that I had a chipmunk on my lap.
Daddy found a caterpillar on our walk through the Buena Vista park. It almost seems like she's thinking, "That's not a caterpillar. Carterpillars are red, yellow, blue... "(Baby Einstein caterpillar).
